Visit to NH

We left on Christmas night and drove to my parents house in NH. We had a wonderful, busy time. Quincy got to meet most of my side of the family, Miles got to play with his cousins and he got to go sledding. Here is Miles sledding with Grandma Morris, me and his cousins Maddie and Brianna:

Christmas Morning

Merry Christmas to All!!!
What a magical morning this is through the eyes of a young child. Miles was stopped in his tracks this morning when he first saw the Christmas tree with all the presents. Even Quincy seemed to realize that something special was going on.Miles loved all his presents, but especially liked the chocolate treats that Santa left in his stocking.
What a sight!

Christmas Eve

We were fortunate enough to have some very good friends join us for Christmas Eve. As us adults visited, the kids were anxious for Santa to arrive, and tracked his flight on the computer:

Last night Miles fell while playing on a friend's piano, and landed on his cheek on the piano. This morning he looks like he lost a fight:

Pirate Miles & other pics this week

Well, another busy week is coming to an end, and there has been so much going on. On Thursday we joined some good friends at Chuck-E-Cheese to celebrate their 5 year old's birthday. The kids had an absolute blast. Miles (with Mom and Dad's help) won enough tickets to get himself a pirate costume, which consisted of a foam hat front, an eye patch, & a hook. He has been hooking everything in sight over the last two days! Here he is, making his best pirate face.


This morning I finally figured out how to take pictures of Quincy smiling, so hopefully we will have more photos of his adorable smile.

Quincy, 4 months

Quincy had his 4 month well check appointment yesterday. He is doing well and right on track for his age. He weighed in at 15 lb, 4 oz - 85th percentile, and he was 24 1/2 inches tall - 50th percentile. So he is still our little chunky monkey - but he's a cute one! He likes his doctor, he smiled at him almost the entire visit.

Q rolled over!

Quincy rolled over for the first time this morning! He was on the floor in front of the Christmas tree - picking his head up as high as he could get it in order to see the tree. Mike was playing with him, then Quincy leaned towards Mike, and his big ol' head did the rest of the work to pull him over onto his back.

My Girls...

Mike got me this silly hat several years ago as a joke. And of course, I can't get rid of anything that is still in good shape. Good thing, because Miles loves hats, and now he plays with this one quite a bit. Although I must say that Quincy looks much better in it!

Playing

We got the excersauser out for Quincy this weekend. Of course, Miles thinks every toy is for him, so he had to play in it any way he could fit.

Quincy loved it right away.

Christmas decorating

We got our Christmas decorations out and up this weekend. Miles had fun playing with many of the decorations - here he is wearing the stockings. He says he is being Santa Claus. Today we decorated the tree. Miles was surprisingly a very good helper and tree decorator.
Although he did have a tendency to put several items on one branch and in one area of the tree:

Quincy's getting active

Quincy has been quite active the last few days. He got a new seat last week that helps him sit up and watch everything going on around him.

Yesterday he discovered that he can use his feet to play with toys.


He also has learned how to reach for and grab toys, he can hold onto light toys and try to get them into his mouth. But no pictures of that yet.

Fireman Miles

Last week Miles was big into playing fireman. I took these pics, but forgot to post them. Here is Miles in his 'fireman' hat and boots, sliding down his 'fireman pole'.

It seems as though this week has flown by. I finally got a chance to download the rest of the pictures I took over Thanksgiving weekend. Last weekend I posted some pics of Miles with his cousins. Here are some pics of my niece and nephew with Quincy.

Potty humor

I know I live in a house full of boys. But I honestly did not expect the potty humor between brothers to start so early. Today Quincy was just full of gas (and other similar sounding substances). Miles kept giggling every time Quincy went. Then, as Quincy was quietly watching Miles, Miles decided to join his brother in letting the gas out, at which Quincy giggled every time.
