It's strawberry season!

The strawberries are out and they are wonderful. The kids and I went out to a local farm this morning and picked a bucket full of strawberries. Miles loves going strawberry picking, so he has been very excited since I mentioned it yesterday. Heck, he has been asking for it since the first warm day this year. As soon as we got there he couldn't wait to get into the fields:

As expected, Miles did great, he is a very good strawberry picker. Quincy surprised me, it was his first time picking and he was good right from the begining, with only a few partially green ones getting picked. They both put their pickings right in the bucket(at first).

And the eating begins, Miles started:

Quincy immediately followed:

And Quincy didn't stop once he started:

The bucket actually filled up too quickly and the fun was done too soon. But we have a big bucket of strawberries, the boys had fun and I'm sure we will be back there several more times this spring. Now time to go make some strawberry bread.
